Default Using mcpx bl parts to make v2 brushless

Could one simply use the motor tail motor and brushless board to upgrade a v2 to brushless? Do you know if the board mounts to the frame in the same location that the mcpx does? Are the holes spaced the same? I ask because I am planning one day for no more v2 parts to be available.

You can swap many mCPX BL parts to the stock mCPX...but not the frame

BL Parts that swap to the stock mCPX
Servos (and servo rods)
Main Gear
Main Shaft
Rotor Hub
Blade Grips
Main Blade (hex) screws
Main Blades (if you have sufficient stock power)
Swash Plate (uses BL links)
Head Links (if you use the BL swash)

Note that the main frame and tail boom assy will not swap...neither will the motors or the main board (landing gear works, but only with space mods needed due to the 2S mount)

The BL version of the head is much stronger...I haven't had a single FS issue since I've converted many of My mCPX's to the BL head

I am in the midst of upgrading a V1 with the Astroid mild brushless conversion. Is it a good idea to also convert to the new brushless components for the rotor blades and head assembly? Can you tell me more?

The stock components work just fine on my older conversion.

Thanks,
Les

If you don't have any issues present and don't crash often, you'll be fine with the stock head...but when it comes time to replace it, definitely go with the mCPX BL parts...they are much stronger and the blade grip surface area is larger so adjusting blade tension is a breeze...and I've never bent a FS on a BL Head

BLH3911 - BLH3912 - BLH3915 is the parts you will need
