Default "No collective training" for learning piro-flips

While regression testing the new version of Heli-X, I found a mode that I had not considered in the existing version.

It's called "No collective training".

Essentially, It locks the COG of the heli in one spot, but allows the working on flying orientations. It reacts to throttle and cyclics to pivot around the centre point.

I wonder if RF, Phoenix, AeroFly or ClearView have this mode.

Initial thoughts were, OK, so I can view the model, so why would I want this? But then it dawned on me. "Imagine trying to piro-flip".

You are trying to get the disc to flip even thought the heli body is rotating. You can break it down and practice the timing without the heli bouncing round the sky. Try get a nice even disc flip. Then you could use this for learning doubles, or learning chaos. Not just timing, but understanding how to fly the move.

Then also thought, what about other moves. Circles, loops, piro-travel, etc. If you know what the disc is supposed to be doing, you can learn each of these, sans-collective, then fly them with collective. "Yay" for "Flying the disc".

I can see me using this a few minutes a day to try learn how to cue corrections off multiple points and working on timing piro-flips so they are not as wild. (can do singles in the hover circle about 20% of the time - penalty for wander is crash ).

All for using any tools at my disposal to help.

Just though I would share.

One of these days your threads will make me buy Heli-X. But I guess that would be a good thing.
Great feature, a good idea. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks RR. I'll look for it when I reboot into RF.

You're welcome.

Phoenix may also have this (don't know, must check).

I like Heli-X as (A) It runs on my linux workstation without needing to reboot B) The physics seem pretty good and C) I like the training modes, thay have helped me). If your current sim does what you need, no need to change.

I got RF so I can fly with more of you guys (and it has great physics and a ready built X5). But for me to run RF, I must re-boot my system into Windows.

ClearView and Phoenix are on a different system.
