Default 2 big Lipos packs assembled: parallel or serial ?

Dear all,

I need some very large 10 s Lipos.

Rather than a very big pack, I intend to buy 2 packs that I will use assembled together. So, if one pack is damaged, I don't have the whole pack lots because I can replace only the damaged half !

But, what is best technicaly ?

- To assemble 2 packs 5S in serial,
or
- To assemble 2 smaller packs 10 s in parallel ?

Is there one of those 2 combination that provide better safety or ballancing during charging and during discharging ?

thanks

Thats an interesting question, one that I don't know the answer to but I'll be interested to hear. BTW, it's running the packs in a series not "serial".
