I'm using the trex 70mm blades with HS over 2800 and its solid, I'm going to try and get the Radix 72mm to fit. Sounds like the 63t tail gear is working well for you guys, the 14t HDX tail pinion was great for me untill it wore out and belt slipped too much. I'll certainly give the German tail gear a go when I feel I want to part with the $, someone else needs to mass produce one to bring the price down.

+1 on the 63t pulley! Made a huge difference in the tail holding power, only gripe is it is only made in Europe, so with shipping and the exchange rate, it costs nearly $50!

Don't forget it takes forever to get teh dang thing. I waited almost a month for my gear and pulley from Germany.
owde - The Radix 72mm tail rotor blades will not work. BUT, if you want to try and get them to work, I'll sell you the set I have for $25 shipped. As for the HDX 13 tooth tail rotor pulley, mine is working great, no issues at all with it. |

They are not making them anymore - I've been emailing them about stock for 6 months now
They have removed these gears from their web page

I will sell you mine, I don't fly my leppy any more and plan on parting it out. It's still in new condition if you want it. I'm pretty much very happy just flying my R90se and Vibe 50 nowadays.

Maybe the 68mm blade question is too old to re-address, but I've been re-building my stretch Lepton and found these 68mm carbon blades to be much more rigid than the floppy plastic ones. They cost $11 at helidirect in Boston.
http://www.helidirect.com/tail-blade...00-p-13360.hdx I use world-of-heli.de as well and have no problems, but I'm in Belgium so the shipping issue is reversed for me! In any event, I always try to negotiate shipping prices and it often works! Ciao, Bob. |
