Default Helicommand for stable filming platform

I'm setting up Trex 450 with a Gopro 3 camera rig, I was thinking also about Helicommand to get stable shots. Is there a version that +/- locks the position of the helicopter at a set altitude ?

I believe that Captron has a unit that will position hold but right now I don't know of a HC3 or BD3 that has a GPS or a sensor that will read the ground to lock its position.

Send a pm to DEMONjoe, he is head of marketing I believe for the Bavariandemon or contact F1 Rocket here on HF, he is the North American supplier.

The only Helicommand unit that can provide a altitude hold function would be the "professional"
The others (3A,3D and RIGID) have attitude stabilization and position hold (under 3 meters)
The Demon series has no position hold or altitude hold function.
Another option would be to research the DJI Naza-H hardware

And another option would be Pixhawk running Arducopter.

I have an hc3sx helicommand. Its a bit of work getting it dialed in but is a great way to take away 90% of the work keeping a copter level. It will not hold a position but with very little work you can do that manually by line of sight with hc3sx. You'll need about 9 free receiver ports if I remember correctly. And transmitter to match.
You dont want to be the first to use a new technology or the last to give one up. A successful copter photographer said.

Split, are you still flying? Are you using a stabilizer for the swash?
