I'm probably going to pick up a 300x within the week. What's the advantage of a slanted gear? Also...I'm assuming the OWB is not out yet...correct?

thanks,

Correct. The OWB is not out yet. The slanted gears create a more consistent loading and reduces noise levels over the straight gears. The other benefit is that the gear is CNC machined so it also is a bit more precise in dimension over the molded stock gear.

our slant main gear fit perfectly into std mg hub.. this mg work perfectly in 300 and 450x.
what you need is just the proper pinion.

This all sounds great. I already own the frame stiffener and the slanted gear, but currently flying with the wicked motor so not using the slanted gear until you guys release the pinion for the wicked motor. Should be real exciting to see the OWB come out, I imagine that is coming soon after?

While I think there are tons less reported issues of main shafts snapping with the frame stiffeners, I still think that main shaft design you guys were working on offers simply more options, especially to those with HS at 3600 as one member said he was running when his snapped.

I know with this 300x, there would probably be a lot who would get the new shaft design + stiffeners to really have piece of mind that all is being done to strengthen the birds weak points.

Either way guys, I think what you guys have made and what you are in production of coming out soon really helps us out a lot. Big thanks to you guys

Hi. Yes owh is under production waiting all the component to assembly and release. About the higer head speed I will post soon a video I fly at 4000.. exactly 3950 and the enjoyment is assured.
I use std shaft.. and all lynx upgrade.
Like I already explain I discovery that the head system is for my rest and disxovery the major reason of vibes that cause the shaft snaps.
I doubled the shims using ultra dampeners and our last released center hub.. the head become solid and heli fly so good.
Check the post of 300x head setting on our forum..

When you say using double shims, do you mean like this. (according to your site picture for installation)

Head > O ring > bushing > shim > shim

I think I'll be rocking this real soon, thanks for the heads up!

I'm late to this party, I just picked up and maidened a 300x yesterday, I knew it was coming so I went ahead and ordered everything you have for the 300x last week.

This OWB assembly would be really nice.

I confirm that I test last month the new revision of our design of owb and finally I approved it.. I can just say is bullet proven, the older one was good but every crash the owb destroy and was a terrible defect, than the new design comes and is just perfect.
I don't want say too much now.. I like leave you in intrepid waiting.. hahaha but this month we will release it with other important parts.. be ready.

My personal intent is made the necessary upgrade to fly the 300x at 4000 rpm and fully enjoy this heli... my continue test show we are close..

This is the key with Lynx, test, test, redesign, adjust, test, final check, then sell so that components work well.

Looks great Luca!

That would be neat in red though. I can't wait to see it. I took up the 300X yesterday for a few batteries and the stiffer head assembly already makes it possible to run the wood blades at 100%!
