Default Nervous Tail

My tail is a little unsteady at the 2 lower head speeds. It doesn't wag, it just moves around a bit during hover. It does everything else well and works well at 2950.

Here is the setup:
Stock motor, 16 tooth pinion.
Brain/TracX.
Brain Governor. 2550/2750/2950 RPM.
61mm KBDD tail blades with 19 tooth tail pulley.
Tail gain is 29 in the Brain.

I have run the gain up until it wags and backed it off until it was soft and it had the same problem. I ran it once with the Governor disabled with no change. The tail linkage has been resized and moves free.

I can put up with this, it's not a big deal, but I would like to tune it out if possible. Any advice?

It should be on 17 tail pulley. The 19 is for high hs flying.

Does anybody get away with the 19 tooth tail pulley and low headspeed?

I have run about 3000 or so with the 19t no problem. How far is your center to ball distance for your tail servo?

Hmmm that sounds good. Have you played with dropping i gain on the tail a couple points to see if that would help?

I haven't adjusted the PID gains. I will give it a try. Thanks.

Or slightly bigger blades or wider cord. Keeping the 19t pulley may be better in smoothness and slightly higher belt engagement.

I have not tached either of my Warps. I suspect they are running right around 3000 RPM.

Both are running the 19T tail pulley and both have pretty short ball spacing on the tail servo (I suspect 7-8mm-been a long time since I installed the arms).

Tail is solid and smooth on both of them.

I was able to up the tail gain considerably when I went from the 17T to the 19T tail pulley.

This is definitely one of those situation where different people have very different results.
