Default What next?

Hey folks,

I've been working hard to get the basics down and I'm now at the stage I feel I've got that. I can hover and fly in all orientations upright and inverted, and comfortably fly in all directions. Basically I'm confident I can start on more advanced 3D with a low risk of crashing - flip the helicopter any way you like, travelling in any direction, and I know I can fly it.

With upright and inverted done I've started on the edge on basics, things like hurricanes, funnels, rainbows (and eventually tic-tocks).

I've not mastered these skills by any means, there's a lot of finesse still to go, but I'm near the end of my original plan now and wondering what I should learn next.

Here's where I'm at:
  • Hovering, all orientations.
  • Basic flight, all orientations, all directions
  • All flips
  • Working on all continuous flips
  • Piro travel, all orientations, CW and CCW
  • Forwards piro flips, CW and CCW
  • Upright hurricanes and funnels
  • Just starting upright rainbows
  • Just starting inverted hurricanes and funnels

For fun I've been doing loops, rolls, stall turns, and have been mixing up rolls and piro's in there (forward loop to inverted loop, roll to inverted again, piro to inverted backwards loop, etc...).

What can folks suggest for working on now? I like to keep a mix of things on the go so I don't get bored, and rainbows seem to be taking some time so I need some new stuff. I'd love some fun tricks as well as serious core skills, what would you all suggest?

Cheers folks,

Myx

One you haven't mentioned and that helps a lot in piroflipping is the snake.
It's basically the same stick movement as piroflip but not hitting as much elevator, so the trick is more horizontal.

The list you created is already quite vast, it will keep you busy for a long time.

But don't forget the basics, you need to have a solid hovering in all orientation to be proficient and be able to learn minimizing the crashes.

For how long are you flying helis?
