I have never understood why they make things so awkward?

So I have the gen 1 airy metal head on my 4g3 and its not that great. the problem is that all of the ball links are pressed in. it does fly nice but the slightest crash knocks them loose. the second gen looks like it is the same, so I'm kind of weary about buying it. I'm thinking of buying both the walkera and the new airy and maybe seeing if I can mix the two. i'm not too hip on the partial plastic swash plate on the walkera version, but atleast all the ball links that are metal thread in. I'll keep ya up dated.

Thanks for the update Keirhag! I've heard that the Airy Version 1 was a POC, but the Airy Version 2 looks like the balls are screwed in, not glued (at least as far as I can tell from the photo)... Please let us know when you get it... many of us are anxious to find out if there is an improvement in Airy quality!

I don't see a brushless main motor anywhere on that ChineseJade website... where are they available at and are they a direct replacement for the brushed motor? In larger electrics changing from brushed to brushless requires a different ESC if I'm not mistaken... so how does this work for the 4G3?

Other than the V2 servos being maybe a bit faster and requiring a different holder (requiring the replacement of the entire main frame I guess), is there really any significant advantage to that V2 kit? How much bang for the buck can there really be in that?

I'd love to get a couple of the 600mah battery packs though... longer flight times are always NICE!

Regards!

The new servos are much more reliable and smoother that alone i want the V2.

The brushless kit is coming with motor, pinion and ESC, you need the new A receiver for the tail to work properly.

No doubt other suppliers will get it in shortly!

V1 owners can also buy the V2 kit for a discounted price!

Also, the current metal 'upgrade' version you will see is made from reportedly very poor quality non-Walkera parts, which is why it's so cheap, ball links are fixed with glue and fall off, blade holders not straight, swash doesn't move up and down shaft properly are some of the reports I've heard about those metal bits, for anyone who is willing to pay $50 for it, the soon to be released Walkera metal upgrade kit is bound to be a lot better.
I bought my first metal 4G3 upgrade from chinesejade and it was a clone. He now sells the proper walkera version and it's much better.
Cheers Eric

Only $25 for the whole set too!
I ordered some of the metal blade control arms, the rest I'll probably leave plastic
