Default Thanks Skookum dev team

Just a word to thanks Skookum team dev.
V4 is a real upgrade.
I really appreciate the possibility to adjust many gains with my SBUS T8FG transmitter.

Tail Gain
Head Gain
Bell Gain
Gov Gain

Very easy to set up and so really easy now to find the spot with my helis without take the computer on the field.
And because I can affect different values to a switch, I have now the possibility to have a bank switch.
I mean, a head gain different in idleup1 or 2 etc ....

Hope others FBL units manufacturer will take it as an example (except Mikado that want you to buy their TX).

I can't compare to the previous firmware as I never successfully flew my heli with the skookum until now on the new firmware. And I must say, it is excellent ! Just in flight that is. I'm as basic a setup as can be imagined. Default 3d setup, all gains and channels turned off, everything everything everything on default settings. Expo at 25 for ail and elev and rudder. Flys like a dream my 800 pro. Serene, silky smooth. Love it !!

Do you use separate switch in 8TFG to toggle these gains back and forth ?

Thanks.

No I use Flight Mode condition to select my gains and so my RPM.
And because with my T8FG I can use 3 channels gyro menus it is very easy to setup.
I use the Gov menu to set up my gov gain.
Next step for SK is to be able to select the Gov RPM target by an other channel.

Very happy to be able to use my channels to setup the module, what a great idea.

Can you share the steps to setup it up in 8TFG ?

Thanks.

Nothing to do special.

Just use your Gyro menu in your T8FG.
You have 3 Gyro menu
1- Tail
2- Nick -> I use it for Head Gain
3-> Elev -> I use it for Bell Gain

4-> Gov menu, use it to set the Gov Gain

Just set the channel in SK software Aux1, Aux2, Aux3, and check with the "Gain in flight" menu in SK software the value of the gains. (I set my ATV on gain channels to have a match between value read on the TX and read on the software).

Hope it helps.

I just got my first test flight in the back yard with the 4.00 firmware and it definitely feels locked in.

I can't wait to get out to the airfield with it.

I have a couple specific things that I really want to check out mostly involving FFF and FFFF ! Fingers crossed!!!!!
