Default pitch ranges

This is my first FBL build and I'm not quite sure what kind of pitch values I should be getting on this heli. I am using a sk720 fbl unit with the default values for everything, and Align ds610 servos on cyclic.

I am getting 15+ degrees of pitch on both ends when using a default pitch curve. This seems like way to much pitch. Should I adjust servo throws in the software or just dial back my pitch curve in my DX7?

What is a "normal" pitch range for this heli? I am a sport flier with no 3d, just fff for now.

Thanks for any tips you can throw my way.

11 to 12 degrees is more than enough for the Vel 90, I think I have Steven's machines setup with 12.5 and that handles full blown 3D with now probelm

I had plus/minus 14 when I had the Total G. I would suggest just setting it up to the pitch recommendations of the particular FBL controller your using. As they are all different, some may require different pitch settings than others. Also another option to reduce you pitch is to change the ball location on the arms attached to the main grips or go in a little on the servo horns. Either way I would rather make mechanical chnges to get where I need to be rather than doing it electronically through the radio. I save the electronic adjustments for small changes.
