Switch assigment tutorial for Budheads like me
Hi help Guys,
Sorry need help again. Assigned idle up & throttle cut switch in flight mode but when I flick the switches only idle up function show up on the display. Throttle cut nothing. What am I doing wrong ? I've also set up Cyclic & Gyro gain switches for the SK540 gyro. Are the function suppose to show on the display as well ? Original firmware was 1.06, update to 2.20 Would greatly appreciate guidance. Thanks |

When I used throttle cut, it did not affect the flight mode display, rather it showed up as "off" or something like that in the lower left.
What I currently do is have multiple flight modes controlled by three different switches In priority order: 1) Flight Mode: "Safe" controlled by 2 position locking toggle in position "SF" 2) Flight Mode: "Auto" controlled by 2 position toggle in position "SG" 3) Flight Mode" :Normal" controlled by 3 position "flight mode" switch in position "SB" 4) Flight Mode: "Idle 1" controlled by 3 position "flight mode" switch in position "SB" 5) Flight Mode: "Idle 2" controlled by 3 position "flight mode" swithc in position "SB" The flight modes primarily control throttle. in a 0-100% Scale: "Safe" - Throttle curve = flat at 0% "Auto" - Throttle curve = ~ 5% = autorotation fast spool up. "Normal" - Throttle curve = flat curve currently same as "auto" since I am discontinuing my use of "normal" but could be 0-30% correspond to 0-100% throttle non-governed. "Idle 1" - Throttle curve = flat at governed RPM for Idle 1. "Idle 2" - Throttle curve = flat at governed RPM for Idle 2. Also, the "Safe" flight mode toggle, is the required initial switch position for all my models. Hope this helps, Mike

MRC3,
thats a pretty neat idea, kinda like 2 throttle holds but one you can't accidentally flip with out pulling the switch and moving it.. Neat idea for sure.. might have to try it... i still need th on a 2 way switch though for auto's or emergency off
