My elevator gain is at around 10 o' clock. Aileron is default at twelve.

What difference did the FBL unit make?

It's only to advertise the unit/mod.

A FBL unit flies the heli, you are just giving it inputs. It's telling the servos how to react and even telling to give inputs you never told it to do so that it flies correctly. That is why you get that, disconnected feeling. Most pilots I know want that connected feeling and they all fly flybar.

IMHO it makes the heli dumber, but that's just me.

Bert, Kyle and whom ever can take an outdated POS and fly the pants off it. It's the pilot, not the FBL unit.

For the $ it sure looks cool, if you are into that.
Well, I know I'm dumber, so anything to help my helis fly better is OK with me. LOL. The main reason I'm interested in FBL, is to lower parts count for crashes and to cut the weight on my E-helis in particular to squeak out extra power and flight time. If it helps me fly better, that's a bonus. What I DON'T want is something that makes flying more difficult. That's why I'm concerned about this "piro compensation" issue.

I won't have a good opinion till I give it a shot. Feel like I'm rolling the dice a bit on the Align system. We'll see.

Most of the guys I fly with have pulled their FBL systems off and gone back to flybar.

You just have a more connected feeling with a flybar.

I hope those guys try the 3G so we will know if there is a difference in feel compared to the Mikado.

And thats exactly why this one is so far different.

The local hotshot here who has been sponsored by Outrage as well as others was like that.

He hated his vbars and sold them off back for flybars.

anyway being that he is not sponsored by any manufacture at all right now he got bought a unit to play with.

So far he loves it.
says it feels like a flybar system with more stability and more power.

and he even likes the tail better than the Vbar.

This guy is an amazing pilot but hated the disconnected feeling the Vbar and other flybarless had. (even 4.0) but likes the Align.

I trust him for an unbiased review and he gave it 2 thumbs up.

Taste is divided, I'm not sponsored anymore and I test all my helis with flybar, but end up putting Vbars on all of them

Is Align FBL no good for fast sudden moves like fast side tic tocs near the ground? Didnt' see anyone doing that on youtube. They did lots of big sky moves and lots of slow and smooth piroflips and hurricanes. Think maybe not so good if you like fast tic tocs?

It handles aileron tic-tocs great. You can still do them as low as you want and as fast as your fingers will let you.
