is it hard? if you know to solder then no.
how much is it? Depends on what you are buying. Motor price varies. You can do your own research on price for C05/M5, HP05, Spin 16.3k, spin 14.4k, spin 15.5k, HP06, HP08 or TA 915 plus the cost of an esc which varies from $15-20 stateside. If you get it flashed from services like astroid designs then it's $5 additional. The benefit of getting it flashed is that you don't need to buy a converter so it's cheaper. in summary, you will spend about $50-$100 depending what you are buying. This is just for DIY job and not PNP. PNP is a total different story. is it worth it? Depends on you. For me, I have 3 brushless mcpxs |

Here's a link to plug and play parts. I did the C05 and 120 tail upgrade. Hardest part is just gutting the stock MCPX frame so the motor has some clearance.

NCCraig does a fine job. He also has the knowledge to help you pick the right brushless system. And Craig's fast as heck, he'd get you setup quick.

I went with the Hawk RC PNP C05 conversion kit as I didn't feel comfortable soldering on the 3 in 1 and I am SO happy with it.
Probably the DIY version gives you more versatility, but for starters, the PNP wins hands down.. Gio --- my RC blog |
