Yes, it's binds easilly to a friend's MCPX and to a 130X.
To bind, Heli throttle servo must have -100% at bind time.
Servos moves, but there is still to adjust servos travel,
reverse, asignements.
But it started to rain and everyone went home.

As start used this, found on Jetiforum.de (a Gold Mine), for mCPX BL;
of course depending your flight mode, needs to be adapt
Functions Assignment:
Throttle P5
Roll P1
Elevator P2
Pitch P4
Yaw P3
Gyro P7

Servo Assignment (unmutable)
1 Roll
2 Elevator
3 Throttle
4 Yaw
5 Gyro
6 Collectiv (Pitch)

Jetiforum shows a file for DC16 for 130X:
http://www.jetiforum.de/index.php/hu...trum-konverter
Will have a look.

Did you use the diodes to drop down the 2 LiFe/LiPo voltage ?
I don't understand why i have to use them because the Orange Tx module is able to handle 15 Volts and the Jeti Rx 8,4 volts !!!
There is another reason to use them ?

The 2S LIFE is only 6.6V, no diodes.
From Jetiforum.de, diodes are not needed either for 2S LIPO.

Just thinking to use also this box for wireless SIM to Phoenix.
Will try.
Plan is to use this wire: "PM to Jack link: Stereo for Phoenix simulator. "
http://www.jetimodel.com/en/katalog/...k-link-TX-Red/

PPM wire connected with a Y to PPM out of RSAT (also connected to Orange TX)
GND wire with a Y wire to negative cable of RSAT (also connected to Orange TX)
and a switch to stop the Orange Module.

I use a Futaba WTR-7 module connected to the Phoenix dongle to use the sim wireless with my Futaba Tx.
I think if i substitute the WTR-7 module with a RSAT2 i can use the sim wireless also with my DS-16 !!!

But i prefer to have two separated boxes ...one for Spektrum link and one for sim (moving the Rsat2 from one to the other)

Tried just now and i confirm Phoenix Sim works perfectly wireless with RSAT2 (or with any Jeti Rx with PPM output i think) and DS-16.
No modifications on Tx, only used my own cable on Phoenix dongle side.

Put it all neatly in a shrink wrap and with a few stickers, voila: (but then you can't use the Rx for other purposes)

This is with the Aerofly USB connector but you could do the same with the Phoenix one

How sure are you that an Orange Tx Module (DSM2 ?) can handle 15 Volts ? I read elsewhere (can't find it now) that the warranty is void if more than (about - can't remember exactly) 9.9V is used. I think that my freshly charged 3S LiPo at nearly 13V burned out my Orange DSMX/DSM2 Tx module.

Default DSM2/DMSX with the DC/DS 16

The HobbyKing page says it takes up to 15V so unless that's wrong... And a warranty on something like that is kind of a fantasy, it'll cost more that it's worth to send it back.

Check post #23
HK site says 15 Volts !!!!

Specs:
Compatibility: 5-pin JR compatible module-based transmitters
2.4Ghz protocol: DSMX/DSM2
Voltage input: 6~15VDC
Power: 100mW
Range: Full range system

In any case i use 2S LiPo so at full charge i have 8,4 Volts !!!
Pay attention also on the fact that the Rx can't handle 15 Volts so don't use 3S LiPo but 2S LiPo/LiFe.

The R4L has a great sized antenna if you are just going to run them out and don't need to route the antenna anywhere.

I think the only reason to get an R6L is for the EXT port for telemetry data.

Currently My E5 and TDR are JLog2 equiped and use the ext port for that.

My Protos has a much larger reciever on it than it needs. I think I could have gone with an R4L for it as well.

Maybe I should sell off a couple of my R7/R9 receivers to someone who needs the ports for something.
Mkovalcson,

How did you hookup the R4L to your FBL controller? I was told by the people at Esprit Hobby that you can't do that with the R4L and I would have to move up to the R5L to get PPM out...????? Also, the R4L is not considered a "full range" receiver.

Thanks! Mark

Not "full range" is because it does not have a "EXT" plug for telemetry. To be wireless with the flight sim all you need is PPM

But I wasn't talking about "flight sim's". I was referring to an earlier post from Mkovalcson.

I did and again, I wasn't talking nor referring to anything having to do with Flight Sim's. I was referring to the first few post's of this thread when we starting talking about receivers and using one line out for FBL controllers.

Ok but again the only difference between the R5 and R4 is that it does not have the "ext" plug. So the PPM is what you need (last line of table below). So if the R5 was working for you and you don't need to plug in telemetry then the R4 will work the same way as the R5 and plug in the same way.

From the start I was just giving you the difference between the R5 and R4 and explaining what full range means.

Ok but how/where do I run the one line out of the R4 to a Beastx. When I asked Espirt Hobby (where I bought my DS-16) I was told you can't with the R4 and would have to move up to the R5 to use one line out from the receiver to the Beastx.

Default The Response from Esprit Hobby

"Mark,
Thanks for the e-mail. The R4 line of recievers will not work with what you
are trying to accomplish as they do not have a PPM output. You would need
to go with the R5L receiver and use the PPM output on pin 5.
This would give you the 1-wire system you are looking for.
Thank you,"

Oh goody... I just ordered 2 R4L's to use PPM out on. In the manual they have it... How are others getting it to work?
