Default Testament to design strength

Had a tip over on take off around 2100 rpm due to gyro. Checked it before flight with two others but must of missed it.

Took out main blades and disintegrated the tails. Nothing else was damaged. Did a vibe test and well below any concerns. Put a buddy's blades on and still got to maiden it.

First thought was damn this is smooth. Same comment from both the other pilots with alees rush and trex 700n. I knew i wouldn't be disappointed with this heli.

Glad to hear it runs smooth. Is yours the nitro or electric?

It was pretty spectacular to say the least.

I am very impressed by the Mostro airframe. I really want to build one, but I've already basically copied jrwalte one time and I'm hesitant to do it again...........but I may have to at some point.

Looks remarkably similar to the stuff I have rat-holed for the arrival of the Mostro.

I've got some Revo 7S 3700s - they looked like they'd fit (the 7S 5300s I already had are on the portly side). What 7S batts are you running?

I'm guessing I need a KDE 700XF 505 - any options needed or does it work right out of the box without changing output shaft or putting in a longer one?

Everything else looks similar. I've got the "uncool" version of the Kosmik 200 and servos are the now-discontinued BLS-157HVs. No problems with the 160BEC?

Thanks!

Default batts

I run turnigy nanotech 4400 7s, they fit well with a 6mm shaft you will not need to modify the 505 that's what I run. No problem running 2300 rpm. I have a vortex with the just released beta version of the e gov and my rpm doesn't seem to change at all no matter what I do. The motor also comes down cooler than it has with any other governor. I don't know if it is working with the kontronik esc. I use yge160.

I'm a creature of habit and have something of a comfort zone with the Kosmik governor. It usually gets used with a BD3SX which lacks a governor.

Good to know that I'll finally find a proper use for the 3700 7S.

And it just so happens this is the tail end of KDE's promotional discount.

Just ordered the KDE700XF-505-G3 HP with the 8/6mm shaft. Hope that's right - timing worked out well on that one.

That motor is perfect for the mostro. You're going to love it. Have one on my electric.

I use pulse 7s 4500.

6mm shaft 700xf-505 motor fits no modding. I use the 23t pinion and it works well with kosmik gov up to 2400.

160 cool has no problem, but haven't run it in hot weather yet. The motor comes down very hot. But it never skips a beat no matter what i do to it with 12.5 pitch.

Well, looks like I got lucky on most stuff apart from the 3700s being a bit on the puny side.

I'm actually getting a little pumped over this.

Everybody needs at least one 700 in Ferrari red.

For the best balance between weight and flight time, I suggest 7s 4500s
