Yeah, it is Tom, but I misinterpretted his explanation about it to me. I thought he had taken it, but it turns out that all he was saying is that it was taken in the same place that we went and took some shots one time, and where he has been on a number of occasions since. I thought he meant he had been again recently.

Some more detail for what it's worth, since I've just been chatting with him about it. It is a USAF F15, probably out of RAF Mildenhall, which although technically an RAF base, it is primarily a US base but here in the UK. The scale of the operation is quite breath taking if you look it up on Wiki.

Anyway, he does take some very good aircraft shots, which is why I got mistaken and thought it was his. Here is one of his, which has been used in a number of publications produced by the Vulcan trust.

What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster, is it a monster. No it's a Vulcan.

And here is another that came out pretty good.

Or another I just found.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers

Sutty

Well, that's a hell of a lot better than your usual rants, my friend. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great place to catch some action shots.

Very nice shots your mate have taken. I have an interest in photography myself, so I can really appreciate good action photos like those.

Raf haven´t been online here for quite some time but I understand he have done well for himself, having a base in UK and all. And here I was thinking my flying field was far away, beeing a 20 minutes drive from my house.

Ah, yes, that would be the Royal Air Force, as opposed to our friend Rafael, as he might be known to his family, on Sundays.

That hillside where the F15 shot was taken looks like Cad West (looking north) in mid-Wales. If it isn't, it certainly looks like the fence line I have sat at a good few times!

Also having been, we think so too.

Not my mates shot, as I explained, I got confused, which is why I posted some of his shots.

Cheers
