Default esky ET6I transmitter issue

Hey folks,

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the TX that comes with the Belt cp.

Just about to launch into a flight and the batteries died, so went home and got a new set for the TX, and it wont register or connect to the Chopper.

When i turn the TX on the green lights go on, but the red light at the bottom left won't.

any known fixes?

Yeah yeah I know i should get a DX6 or something but in New Zealand they are about $700, Which is way beyond my skill level to appreciate for the cost.

Done a search of the site and the web but not found anything that helps.

Please i need my Fix!

Dan

I had the issue once, a quick re-bind solved the problem for me.

Don't know how to do it off the top of my head, but if no one else can tell you I'll have a look at the manual when I've finished work.

HI Na

tried it different ways but no joy. IT seems that the TX is not transmitting, will take it back to the shop I brought it from, I expected it to last longer than the heli.

Have you caught the trainer switch? Top right shoulder of the Tx, behind the gain adjuster.

Have tried pretty much every combination of switches and no joy. The red led on the bottom left is no longer flashing which makes me think that the transmitter had brought the farm

Caved and brought a DX6i the shop gave me a great deal on one setting as it was going to take a fair while to get the cheap Esky TX fixed.

Yep, upgrading to a programmable Tx is the single greatest thing you can do to increase the flyability of a CP. Once you get your curves set up how you like them you'll wonder how you ever got in the air with the stock unit.

Guys guys guys i wish i could say that was true, unfortunately the Gyro is not talking to the RX and i there fore have no tail rotor movement in the servo at all

is this normal? i followed several intructionals in how to set up the new RX,

things i have tired to do to figure out what is wrong,
1.disconnect the tail servo from the gyro and put into the rudder slot (it works then)
2. move the connectors to different slots.

every thing else is working ( i think ) i have set the expo rates and the swash is working fine, the throttle is working fine.

Im lost folks

Ok, what you have done is to troubleshoot it to the gyro as being the issue.

Before we call the gyro bad, first let's look at it a little closer.

Check very carefully how it is connected to the reciever and how the servo is connected to the gyro. Make sure you do not have a connector plugged in upside down.
This happens all the time.

I'm assuming the gyro worked with the old tx?
If it did, then it should work with the dx. You can double check this by temporarily swapping back to the old radio and seeing if it still works.
This will help us to help you.

Plus, it helps us a lot if you can post some pictures of how you have it all hooked up.

It's not uncommon for the stock Esky gyro to fail. If it did, then coult your lucky stars it happened now and not in the air.

ok going to try to post some images

not sure if this will work.

yes the Gyro worked with the old tx, BUT the old TX died hence the new DX6i, so no testing on the old TX. The lights on the Gyro do go, ------------------------ WAIT HOLD ON A MIN-------------------------------------------------

OK YOU ARE A LEDGEND!!!!

Just ran back into the room and flipped the tail servo going into the gyro....... AND (servo sounds) hell yes thanks man!!! made my night!!

HELIFREAKERS you all rock.

That's because when I was in New Zealand for over a year I put in a good word for you, Tom. The whole country being a few million of sheep and few thousand of people, the word spreads, you know

Knowing you as I do, my good friend, I'm pretty sure the 'good word' wasn't what you were spreading over there.

Well, that's something else I have never done!

For the record, neither have I EVER put every single servo plug upside down into an Rx, then checked the orientations and come to tthe conclusion that the brand new AR8000 Rx was dead and a

...and re-checked a 2nd and 3rd time and still not found a problem (after all, I've been doing this for a few years now, how could I possibly get it wrong).....before a technical support line (at about £2 per minute) pointed out that I hadn't actually TRIED it the other way.....

....nope...never happened to me....

The "good word" might've been indeed an overstatement, but what counts are the results, right? You have become a legend there
