Default turning out-ward....

Learned the basics on a 450 last summer, had my share of crashes
and miss-apps.
I now have an Atom 500 (awsome), it crashed twice, once electrical failure,
the other lost orientation.
I've been practicing hovering and orientation (a lot). Now I can FF left to right
and back within 50 to 65 feet.
I can't get myself to turn out-ward to come back, you know. I always turn in-ward.
I flick the nose right to left on a hover but a piro, not yet. I think that unless I get past
the piro thing, I'll have trouble turning out-ward.

Do you have any thoughts on the matter or maybe a trick I can practice.
(Can do it with my eyes closed on a sim,
can do lots on a sim but the real thing...)

Try to practice 8-flying first and nose in flying. It helped me a lot to do slow piroettes at the sim to get a good feel for the nick function. It is just a brain thing... :-)
And never think too much ;-)

What's 8 flying ?
Is it a figure 8, I sorta can do them but only one way.
When the heli's on my left, I turn the nose to the right
and when its on my right I turn the nose to the left.
I thought that by doing piros I'd get the hang of the heli
going both ways, you know.
And the nose-in thing, not on the menu, sorry

Anyway....I'll figure it out.
