Not yet. But that's what I plan on using when I get my Xxtreme for the first set of batteries.

I read lots of things about the nano techs saying they are dead after 20 or 30 cycles, it seemed like that was a pretty common consensus? I searched on HF when I got the Xx and found a lot of people saying that.

Not saying I know from experience but just putting it out there in case you hadn't heard.

Lead time for me in Australia will be a while from overseas anyway.

I have a new 550e and 700e to get accustomed to before I take to the skies with my Xxtreme...when it gets here and built.

I don't want to fork out for batteries just yet as they may not get used until the latter half of the year.

I've been running the turnigy/flightmax 40c stuff in my 6003d and 600se for a while.

I'm getting more than 20-30 cycles out of them and they seem to be holding up.

Once in a while on my 6003d i take out a cell but in all fairness the last time i blew a call i had over discharged that pack before by going from 603 to 623 mm mains and not letting up.

I won't say i've got 100 flights on them thats for sure.

But there about half the price.

A fellow flier has a 6s trex 600 and has had great luck with the higher 45c nano's. He's better at collective mangament than me but i'm going to try the 65c and see what happens.

And when money permits i'll get a set of volts also

Martin

I've been using them Martin, before my issues...only about 4 flights on them and the TP 65C's. Initially I didnt think a lot of difference but I have only just run them in and was thinking the TP's should give 3 X the life.

No problem Marty, just checking.

BTW I have had better experience from Gens Ace over Voltz (35C), and the GA are even cheaper than Nanos.

Cheers,
Ant

Martin, I would build a set of 7S packs from 4S & 3S Gens Ace before I bought some nano-techs. At least that's what I plan to do for 1 set of packs. As mentioned, the Gens Ace are cheaper and if you get one that's bad you don't have to deal with bickering and sending stuff back to HobbyKing.

4s 5300: http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-5300-4s1p.html
3s 5300: http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-5300-3s1p.html

Free shipping in the US, or I've had a couple of orders to Canada in the past and have only paid $10 shipping.

I've had better performance out of the GA 25C than my Voltz 35C on the 600se, so from my limited experience I think they're good bang for the buck. I've never seen anybody complaining about them on the forums either.

Cheers,
Ant

I'm going to order up a set.

Cancelled the hobby king packs

What taps are they running ? Do they have a 7s balance adapter for a tp 1010c/210 ?

JST-XH taps, I ordered the last pair this guy had of 7s and am going to cut the wires on my first 2 packs and solder these on http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=322

going to order another set when he gets them back in stock soon. Looks like he only has JST-XH, maybe someone else has TP, or you can just use a different balance board.

Cheers,
Ant

I also got 2 sets of Hyperion split packs, and they supply a Y adapter like you are talking about. Looks like it will work just fine. And with your line of work should be easy.

Some of the wiring info in this thread would translate to your Y adapters as well: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=390158

I would send hobbypartz an email to confirm availabillity before ordering or better yet phone them.
I put a order in and payed. Got a confirmation e-mail and the day after I got a mail saying they where out of stock with 4-6 weeks before in stock again. When I then tried to mail them I got no answere. After 1,5 week and four mails without answere I got a mail saying the LiPos where sent.
Donīt get me wrong here, Iīm happy that they have sent the packs but I think they should have answered my mail. I donīt like being ignored

I have heard the odd story like that with them. I personally have never had any problems - if their site says in stock they have always been shipped next day for me.

However lately the packs above were out of stock and I used their online chat feature to ask when they were expecting them, and I got the copy and paste response about 'most of the time when our products go out of stock, it is between 2 and 4 weeks until they come back in', so pretty useless. But other times I have phoned them, you have to wait on hold for ages (like 40 min, so try as soon as they open or something) but whenever I have spoken to somebody they have been quite helpful.

So if you want to do something, call rather than email.

Cheers,
Ant

A mate is using their 7s 4500's.

He uses all different brands of packs and does rate the HK nano's highly!
