Default Puffed Lipos

I have a couple of VX G3 Lipos Power pack Hyperion 3S/11.1 35C 2200mAh that have puffed just a little, I am using a Imax LiPro B-6 Balance Charger my settings are as follows:
2.2A 11.1V(35)to charge them.
Can you let me know what I am doing wrong
Thanks

Looks like you are charging them fine. You could even double the charge rate and not have any issues.

Your charger should also balance charge by default - if you are plugging in the balance leads.

Otherwise, I would look to discharge or storage for the source of the puffing. Are they being stored charged, or in a hot car?

As for discharge, they are mid-grade (35C) batteries from a high quality manufacturer... Are you flying them too hard or too long? Voltages should be about 11.1 or higher a few minutes after you're done flying. Flying to LVC even a few times can damage them.

Are the batteries warm/hot after flying? A 450 can be hard on batteries if you have a 'hot setup' with a big motor or high rpm.

How many cycles on them? If treated well, the should be good for at least 100, and probable double or even triple that.

I take meticulous care of my batteries, but have found that flying them in hot weather (+110F) causes them to puff. I think heat is the enemy of all batteries.

The charger settings look fine. How much are you putting in them while charging (mah)? Are you going down below the 80% rule?
