Default Spinning Nano

Just dug out 3 non-working Nano’s to make 1 that flies. Everything works and it spools up, but it just sits and entire heli spins. Any ideas?

Looking down from above...does it spin clockwise?

If so...check the tail motor rotation

Look at it from the side...nose end on the right...does the tail rotor spin CCW?

If not...flip the tail motor connector 180 degrees

Usually what you describe is a sign of low battery voltage, often the result of a poor connection with the battery.

Pick it up (by the tail if you are nervous), unplug it, plug it in and try again. Sometimes you have to make several attempts, even if the battery and connector are both serviceable.

It’s spinning counterclockwise. Tried new tail motor, new battery, replugging battery in and out. Guess it may be the board. Looks like a parts heli now. Thx for the suggestions!

Try replacing the battery connector rather than replacing the board.

Send to Rudy at Megas Micros if need be.

With the heli spooled up, hold in your hand and rotate clockwise and anti-clockwise. You should feel and hear the rear rotor speed up and slow down to counter the rotation. If not then you have a fried gyro. Happened to me once. Buy a gyro from megas micros (only a few bucks) and solder back in....surface soldering that is.
