They're back up. Site is slow while they're working out bugs but everything is functional for me. They've been giving updates on Facebook the whole time.

I hate the new site. Wrong prices, dead links, missing item pics, item pics distorted, slow, randomly down altogether. I don't trust putting credit card info into it.

What was wrong with the way it was? It's an absolute mess right now. I hope they get it all sorted out soon. I don't understand why they didn't create the site on a test server, test it all out work out bugs, then switch over.

I'd be willing to bet they're losing tons of business right now. Maybe they'll have a massive sale to gain customers back when it's all fixed and ready to go.

I agree, the mobile site is awful. I can't find goblin battery trays and heat shrink. Navigation is difficult and there's too many sub categories displayed all the time. I would really like a link to the full site from the mobile at least.

helidirect.com = healthcare.gov

I need both to stay alive!

I did finally find what I was looking for with the search function. Got my cart together, went to log in and couldn't. Also deleted my cart.

The webmasters at HeliDirect are working feverishly to get everything squared away. New features which have not been released to the public coincide with the changes. These are not all simple, so everyone's patience is greatly appreciated.

All constructive feedback is checked into and the wrinkles will be ironed out as quickly as possible.

sounds like the sales and shipping staff are trying to learn the new system too, not just a new web frontend for us customers.. things might be delayed a little while they make the transition.

I can say Helidirect was previously using OSComerce for their web shop which has limitations as far as support and development go because it is a free open source web application. They have now switched to Magento which has many more options and better support than the previous.

As a website owner I can say that in the long term helidirect will benefit from the change however as with any major overhaul there are going to be hurdles. Just give HD time to sort them out.

If HD is reading I would like to point out that there is currently no way to access the full site from the mobile. Please fix that, as much as companies think they need a mobile site most people hate them.

I will pass this along to the developers. Thank you.

Also -

Take away the "S" on "HTTPS" in the URL. See if that helps. Not shown in the link above but some have had this issue.
