I wonder if it will be possible to use the AR7100R sensor with the O.S. 91 with the pump in the backplate ?

Thanks for the great vids Bob. I've never seen a nitro built before, and it was very interesting. Do you think you'll follow up with some vids on breaking in and tweaking the new motor (basically everything else you need to do to get running after the build is complete)? That would be awesome, especially for noobs like me that have never seen it or used a nitro heli before.

Thanks,

Bob,

Was watching the videos, and suddenly there is a sensor or something connected at the backplate of the engine. Backed up several videos, and could never figure out what it is, or when it was installed.

Wholly Smokes that was some sweet flying skills! Makes me sick! I'm still learning nose in.

What would expect to budget for an average700 bundled cost, and when they will be available????!!!!!

Something tells me there will be (or already are) a lot of 600 nitro's on ebay...

Hey Bob, nice flying!

What blades are you running? And do you like um? I know Andy really likes the 710 "stick bangers" on his 700. Pilot preference I know

Step 13 cracked me up. I'm watching you videos of the 700N build to see what people claim it's better then an Aurora.

Bob,

So enlighten us. What have you liked about the Aurora build? What have you liked about the Trex700N?

What are your overall impressions of each? How do the builds compare?

Nice flying Bob - few new tricks every time we see a flight video posted - T700 looks pretty agile and nice in the air - the 90s certainly have something special going for them and much easier to see with middle aged eyes !

Brian.... I have not calculated the total cost but I would bet the minimum for a decent 90 setup is going to be $1500 minimum. I high end setup like mine is probably close to $2K.

Huskynox, those ARE in fact Curtis 710 Stick Bangers that Curtis sent to me a few month ago. Thanks CY!!! So far I love them!

Rock.... I have not finished the Aurora yet so haven't flown it either.... AND honestly I know they will both be different and thus I doubt I will be able to give a comparison because it will be apples and oranges comparison! I have had other 90's before and each had their own "complements" and "differences".... So I am not sure I will ever be able to make a post of me saying WHICH is better....

John and Rotorhead.... Thanks for the complements... I fly EVERY week just about so I try to learn new things... I am a slow patient learner and don't RUSH it..... BUT my flying is LAME compared to the folks I fly with and what top pilots can do... THAT is why I enjoy this hobby because I am enjoying learning! I think if I could fly like a Szabo I probably would get bored..... The "A" type personality Bordom comes when there is no challange!

Bob,

Not looking for an overall which is better actually. That's like asking which is better between an NSX and a Corvette.

But I'm curious what were the strong points for each heli, what were the week points, how did the builds compare, what was your overall general impressions for each build, etc...

Bob,

Which has the better parts and overall materials quality? The Aurora or the 700?

My Trex 600E is made to a fair bit lower standard than my Raptor 90SE but there's a significant difference in price to match. What gets me about the 600 is all those plastic parts. They're legion and the moldings used aren't brilliant quality either. My question is has the 700 cut corners on parts and left the market open to theirs and others 'upgrades'.

I've been watching and following both the Avant & 700 build videos but its hard to access the quality of the kits from video.

Thanks.

Hmmmm this is tuff for me guys.... But here goes.

First the Trex700 build and quality is the BEST from Align yet! Since I don;t have a lot of flight time on the T700 yet I cannot comment as to reliability and bearing quality. That's going to have to wait. The 700 has NO adjustments so went together easy which is why I was done with it first. BUT having said that, that doesn't mean it's better in any way. Production will HAVE to hold the tolerances of the frame holes, etc for every kit like mine was or things will become a problem since you cant adjust backlash on anything. So long term only YOU folks will be able to see how that goes. I think Align has put a lot into this thing and it shows.

The Aurora is a "mans" heli. As you see it has more things to adjust and thus more tinkering BUT getting these adjustments right ensures a damn reliable heli! You are not tied to a manufacturers getting every frame side made 100% the same 1000's of times. YOU the user gets to make sure things mesh properly. So that's a good thing for some but might not be for others.... AGAIN since I have not flown the Aurora yet nor had time on it, bearing longevity and things like that CANT be known any other way.

So as to which has better quality of parts... DUDES.... looking at it on the bench you can judge some things but reliability and running the darn things tells the real truth about quality so seriously... Both kits look good on the bench as you can see from my videos but REAL quality gets demonstrated with MANY flights.....

That's the best NON-answer I've heard in a long time.

Bob... You should be a politician....
