These little guys are very durable but surprisingly fragile at the same time. They may not break, but they can get out of balance very easy. I'm sure its no secret, vibration happens when something is out of balance. The main shaft and associated attachments are the prime culprit as they spin the fastest. If that shaft is cracked, even slightly, it will vibrate. Whenever the heli starts acting weird, something is usually broken, you just have to find out what. That's why we love this hobby, right?

I buy broken Eflite Heli's and Quads. (Especially 130X and 200QX)

I just noticed, well I didn't really just notice, I noticed it a few days ago but didn't give it any thought but my nano looks of balance. When in hover it leans to the right. It flies fine but I can't figure out why it isn't straight. There is nothing on it that should cause it to do this.

All helicopters with clockwise main rotors will lean to the right in hover.

The tail blows air to the right. The heli blows to the left, if perfectly flat in hover. So a stable hover leans right.

Well then you'll get good exercise when you fly nose in as it will lean to the left as seen by you. Get really good at pirouette and you can can it your exercise.

I just call bending down to check it after crashes my squats.

Has anyone figured out how to remove the motor brake when throttling down?

Nope... it was mildly amusing on hardwood floors but kind of sucks on concrete.

Switch the ESC for an XP3A and flash with BL Heli. There is a couple of us experimenting with this set up on the Nano Brushless Mods section.

My solution for the annoying brake is when I go to land on my wood floors is I try to land on normal mode, throttle down to about 20% then hit throttle hold and the heli will not spin on the floor like crazy!!!!!!!

Why not just hit throttle hold once you touch down?

The factory BL has a brake that engages with throttle hold causing the nano to spin on the ground when you hit it.

My battery leads have broken off the esc on my BLH3325 brushless upgrade. Anyone know what way the leads should be? I think the white lead goes next to the motor plug.

Welcome to 3rd world soldering. I had all 3 wires fall off and had the motor plug snap right off. Pic below of repair and you can clearly see the wire orientation. The ESC is mounted per stock in the pic (just without the shrink tube....

Hey I'm finding that I don't like the settings for stunt mode listed in the instruction manual. I've been playing around with them and they are getting better. It's funny when I got this thing I thought it was fast and twitchy but now it seems a little slow doing some 3d tricks. I have a feeling the motor and battery have some to do with that, actually I'm pretty sure they have a lot to do with it. I'm just curious what you guys are using for pitch and dr/expo?

Well... its only because I ran out of double sided tape and if I recall its only stuck on one side. Its a really just a cushion as the zip tie is doing the holding. However, I'm going to switch to a narrow piece of electrical tape and get rid of the zip tie and hot glue. Apparently l1lobo has had good luck simply using electrical tape. Worth a try.

After over 200 flights my factory BL's esc started smoking and died. And to be honest, i probably have almost 300. Long cold winters here in VT. Got to love Horizon. Quick call gets me a new one. I like that these have a one year warranty. I am kind of surprised at that. Every time I have had a problem with my Horizon stuff they are super helpful. Problem is, they are on back order. Back to flying the brushed setup.
