I've flown it at a park, but I doubt my old eyes allowed me to go further out than 50 yds. If I'd found the antenna wire I for sure would have soldered it back in place. Someday I'll fix it.

My eyes aren't the best ether. Plus I don't have a fine tip Soldering iron just a gun.

So CopterGuy is going to solder it back on for me.

I have a fine tip soldering iron, and have a magnifier at home so when my bl nano signal wire came loose over the weekend I fixed it. I prefer to bring the soldering to work and have the lab techs do it using the microscope. But, I needed to fly!

I have a magnifier for some work like putting the canopy on but shaky hands and just the gun.

Trifocals stink for Nano work.

I'm sure, bifocals for sure do. The guy in the lab that usually solders my stuff is older than I am, a Viet Nam vet. His hands are very solid, I'm envious. That microscope is great, I should go in there and use it too. I spared no expense for my soldering iron, got it at harbor freight.

Sorry.

I know the feeling. My Nano was bullet proof up until I was bragging about it and my original 200+ motor life, and I got my BL.

Suddenly it becomes a problem child.

I got my no-antenna nano inverted downwind a couple days ago and had to flip it over and fly it back from the neighbor across the street's side yard, probably 50 yds. The silly thing never even hiccup'd. The only problem I have is an occasional binding issue though it has always worked the second time. If I didn't have to buy a half mile of the magnet wire on a spool I'd have fixed it long ago.

Fly-In today. Looks like mother nature is being nice.

I'll be flying my Nano, mCPx-BL and 450X.

Mac will be flying a 9958 and his mCPx-v2.

Gotta love EAA!
I live southwest of EAA right at the outer marker, I see a lot of interesting planes coming in for fuel before the final leg to EAA.
Last weekend we had a B-29, B-17, B-24, T-6 and a Mustang giving rides, I saw (and heard) a lot of them all weekend.

(actually not GIVING rides... pretty pricy actually)

Didn't go to EAA. I can't swing $100.00 (counting parking) just for wife and I to walk/roll threw the gate. We live 15 min's. north of it and had FiFi (B-29) and such flying over head all week also.

This was a Fly-In sponsored by our flying group.

Nano flew like a dream. My 450X flew great untill I hit IU2 then I had a vib so landed it. BL flew great but last battery the swash blew apart (stock on). Over all it was a great day though.

Fifi is amazing to see and hear flying overhead, imagine what it must have been like to hear hundreds of them at once back than!
