Default How do you work this thing?

Just got the batteries for my swift, so maiden flight is in a day or two.

My PHX HV-45 ESC seems to be random, it flashes what appears to be ramdomly, and doesn't seem to respond to anything the instructions tel me to do.

HOW DO SET THIS THING UP? - PLEASE HELP

I have checked all the obvious things,

-polarity is correct
-receiver lead connected properly, to the correct channel (tested the throttle channel with a servo)
-power up transmitter, then receiver, then connect battery power
-tried reversing the throttle channel

I am at a loss. there seems to be no information in the manual about what i should see or hear when the ESC is properly armed, so that would probably be a good place to start.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think I have everything else dialed, but I am wondering if anyone has throttle/pitch curve suggestions for starting out.

I have the Futaba 9CHP so 5 point curves. I am runinng the ZPower Z-30A 800 motor on a 9 tooth pinion.

Thanks,

-A

Make sure you have a linear throttle curve (0 - 25 - 50 - 75 - 100) to use while programming.

Or better yet, get the Castle Link and program it from your computer. MUCH easier and you can also update the software.

Call Castle Creations. They will talk you through how to get it right. They know the Swift, and that radio. They have helped me twice. They have excellent customer service.

I called Castle Creations, and completely stumped their Tech Support guy Bernie!

BUT... They are sending me a new HV45 by priority to solve the problem.

Now THAT is customer support!

But I still have to wait for it to show up before I can fly
