3GX amd OrangeRx satellite
Has anyone tried this combo before? I am thinking of getting two of them and sticking them on my 500 someday. I have used Orange receivers in the past on airplanes, but never on helicopters. I am curious if anyone has tried to use them with the 3gx specifically and if so have you noticed anything bad?

I've not used and will not use orange Rx sats on any of my helis.
For me personally, I think the reasons and cost for genuine product far outweighs the savings for non genuine. Sure, they may work and maybe cheaper but is saving $15 or whatever, worth it on your expensive Heli? ....and you'll know pretty quickly if something goes 'bad', as you say Just my 0.02c |

Re: 3GX amd OrangeRx satellite
Thanks for the link. I must of over looked that thread. I was just curious if anyone had any positive results with those. I will get some spektrums instead. Just trying to save money. I guess if I cut my fleet from 5 to 2, money wouldn't be an issue lol. Anyway, thanks for the advise.

No worries.
I can understand you wanting to save a bit of cash but you may end up spending far more on repairs if something were to go wrong. So money is a moot point there. That being said, no system is perfect but buying genuine Sats, Rx's etc gives you a far better chance of trouble free compatible operation in most cases. |

I use a 3GX with two Orange satellites no problem at all on my T-Rex 500.
I've had more problem with Spektrum satellites on my 600 (flashing LED on one satellite after landing), though I think this was a positioning issue.
