Thats looking pretty nice. I like the detail you put into the canopy, lots of folks abandon the 2 halve deal, but when build well, it does a great job and weighs next to nothing on that bird

KBDD Flybar paddles
KBDD Tail Blades
Trex 600 Landing Struts
Milk Jug Canopy
Scorpion 3026-1400
CC Ice100
Spartan Quark
Align DS520

Since this pic, I had an aileron link pop off the swash and decked the heli. Had to remake the milk jug canopy, and rebuild the heli (broke frame and servo cases). I'll take a new pic soon.

Default Upgraded

Did some upgrade work :-)
Including replace stick tail with an X5 tail case - quality looks much better.

Thinking back on it, light blue probably wasn't the best choice for the bottom half of the canopy haha. Oh well. It will suit me fine for hover training and basic beginner stuff. I hop to lose the stock 2 piece canopy canopy eventually anyways. Wonder if a logo 500 canopy will fit??

425XF Frame - Torque tube tail
Hyperion DH16-SCD cyclics
MKS BLS-980 and Spartan Quark on the tail
430 Wide Chord Mavrikk Main Blades - Edge Tail Blades
Tonic-X Z20A 1470 KV motor w/ Hobbywing 80A Platinum ESC

Had my first good flights today but in the last one it developed a bunch of tail vibration out of nowhere at Idle1 headspeeds .

This thing is crazy fast and powerful even at relatively low headspeeds.

Now I just need the Big Balls bearing blocks to complete this guy.

My "new to me" 425.

I love this thing and don't even like flying my 450Pro any more. Gonna sell it and get another Gaui... Maybe an X5.

Nefarious,

Looks good - one thing though - it looks as if you have the plastic pitch / aileron / elevator lever arms and but not offset on the servo arms - this will lead to interactions. You either need to get the Gaui CNC pitch / aileron / elevator lever arms or build the offset onto the servo arms.

Cheers,
Mike.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I bought it used from a member here and that's how he had built it. Right now, I'm only hovering and praticing orientation so it's really not affecting me but I do plan to fix it.

...All of the servo horns have the prescribed offset as called out in the instructions...
If you measure them, you will see it...Were the servos changed?
Just go for the CNC/Metal ones and then change the horns to straight across ones...

Painted my canopy today. Nice wasp colors.
I planned to also do the tail-fins yellow/black and add some decals... but i'm not sure it will improve any further. i like the clean look it has now.
