Hi Guys,

I've bought a T-Rex 600N and the previous owner has installed a Kasama head.

Now I've spent the last few months pulling it apart to check every screw and bearing in the frame and tail. Now I'm finally doing the head setup, and I realise I have no manual as a guide. Can anyone point me to a tutorial for setting up the head, or are there any links to a manual around?

Cheers

Finless Bob did some videos of the Kasama Head for the Trex 600 here. If it is FBL then you can find some of my setup tips here

Couple of weeks at the most hopefully. All 're-building' complete, just got to check setup on a few things.

Just tried figuring the head setup out on my own, but I soon realised I couldn't do it without something to go off as 'standard', but thanks for the offer and will take you up on it if I get stuck.

Maybe you or someone can confirm what kind of swashmix % I should be aiming for with the DX6i? I beleive the head I have, has the quick uk swash and washout, and I noticed even with the swashmix down to about 50%, I was still getting some binding between one of the pitch control links and the screw that holds the mixing arm to the washout base (Hope I got that all right!!). My settings for the 450 are about 65%, so wondering if such a low setting will be ok?

Hope you had a good time in at the masters

Larger helis have lower swashmixes than smaller - 45-50% be about right

It depends lot on your ball positions in the rest on the head, but I used to run around 55% I think on my old 600 with Kasama head. It will get you in a close enough ball park to test and see how it feels atleast.
For some reason we had to turn my srimok 90 upto 80% to get it agile lol. Something's up so I need to check that out. Havnt altered it yet as I'm deciding if u should try it FBL

Thanks again both of you.

I'm not too far off what Finless was in his vid, which still left some binding at full neg, and your stick in the corner of cyclic, so i should get it sorted next attempt.

Hoping I'll have time later this evening to take another look.
