I mean, just unplug RX from charger, switch on RX, see if it's got any charge...

Hit stop on the BC-6, and then turn on your TX and read the voltage. if you charge it for half an hour that should give you enough power to do your setup? Ni MH batteries are not as susceptible to the memory like NiCad

I charged it for 1 hour 15 minutes, at 1A. It had put bak almost 1200mah (out of 1500).
Then I had to go to bed. I charged it to get full, I knew I did not have the time to charge for setup that late in the evening. Now when I turn the Tx on I get voltage read of about 10-11V from a 9.6V battery, that is OK right?

Boddan, you were saying about making a swash leveling tool in which you dont have to take apart the head assembly.
I have seen one in a shop, I don't know if this is what you were thinking about?

Yeah, J
Something like that. But even easier than that. suuuuuuper easy to make your self. I also belive it can work as a tool to "lock" the flybar when measuring pitch. I'll show you how when I've tested it!

Sounds interesting Boddan. You could be onto something there. If it is really good then you could sell them.

DONE!
I finally finished the build, I sat up intil 1am last night (I go up at 6am). Only thing left is setup and testflight! I took a quick pic when finished last night with the cell phone, thought to share it with you: And I am not kidding, this thing weights a TON, man how will it ever get airborn. It has to have one heck of a headspeed! CANT WAIT!

Sweet!
Looks great Boddan!
You are going to be amazed, the 500 is so much more stable than the micro helis! And be careful of the power, at 2600 RPM the machine has pop you can't believe!

Lol Boddan, don't underestimate the power of the trex 500. This has plenty of power not only to get airborn but to do crazy flips while pulling G's like no other heli:p
You wont be able to imagine the power of this heli untill you see it. Especially if your not used to bigger heli's. The trex 500 lifts off soo easily. The throttle is way more responsive than on the belt cp!!!!! -Jonny

Well...........................
Here's the deal............. I came home today, made my self some time to make the final adjustments (thanx to a patient wife). I finished just before dark and the wind was low. I took of to the football field. It was empty and it was getting real dark. But I had to at least spool her up to see how she works - right! So - plugged battery in, put cannopy on and made shure everything was OK. Throttle hold ON. Moved throttle stick to midstick, released throttle hold and she started to fire up, slowly. The sound was loud! Nothing at all like the belt cp. Got a bit scared actully :o But I thougth I saw it bogging before even getting to mid stick (80% throttle) so I slowed it down, figured it was just the blades centering, spinned her up again and BANG!!! One of the tailblade grips flew right off the heli causing massive vibrations! When she finally stoped spinning I inspected the damage and over 10 meters away I found the tail blade and the attached blade grip. It seems, after some investigation, I had over tightened the screw , causing it to brake inside (!) the hole! Well, parts are on the way. I suppose my T500 maiden will have to wait another week, but I've been waiting so long now so what is another week. The confidence in my self has really gotten a good beating though ¨ Attached a little picture of the pritty little cut screw sitting there laughing at me.... (red circle is just to show the shop which part had cracked too, disregard it)

That is so easy to do Boddan, dont get to down on yourself.
Let the locktite do its job, get the screw in there firm but try not to over tighten(obviously) then give the locktite time to set. Maybe it wasnt you maybe just a weak screw. At least you know the rest is ok and you found the grip. Darin

Oh well, let's be glad it wasn't anything major.
When you say you "spooled up to half throttle and then took it off throttle hold" Did you mean you put it off throttle hold and then spooled up to half throttle? Just a question that has nothing to do with why the tail blade came off but. Have you made sure all your gain values are ok and that the heli is in HH mode? And have you got the HH mode in the right direction? When you move the tail left (From behind the heli) does the servo move the tail pitch slider to the right? Lastly is your tail servo digital? If so make sure you have the DS (Digital servo) switch 'on' Just want to make sure you have all that right before you take off What did you think of the noise!!!!!? -Jonny
