Question E7SE Jesus Bolt Play?

I recently noticed that the jesus bolt holding the spur gear (and the OWB sleeve) in place has a little play. What I mean is that if I hold the spur gear (above the main gear) I can rotate the rotor head by a degree or two... I don't remember whether that was always the case...

That's pretty typical. Nothing to worry about. That gear is always under pressure anytime the head is turning so there is no play in flight.

What Chris said, plus, you don't want it completely tightened up because on the auto-rotation hub you can actually warp it if you tighten that up too much. Over-tightening also puts stress on the bolt which can cause premature failure.

So the whole torque from the motor is only transferred through that bolt?

Yep, as with every other heli on the market using jesus bolts in the main gear/autohub setup.

Trick is to resist the urge to crank down that bolt and stretch it. These are design to be strong against rotational force, but if you stretch it, it will break.

Just wondering y it is a 3mm, other 700 r using 4mm bolts!
I know it will hold, it is 3mm of steel, but a 4mm will "feel better" :p

Mine has the same amount of play. I was a little worried about it at the start, but no issues at all.
