Quick question ? I have a chance to pick one up but it does not have the computer hook up., I do not fly 3d, do I need the computer hook up in order to use the FBL Unit?

You only need the computer hook up for software updates. The unit is useable without it, you just won't be able to update it until you pick up the adapter.

No, you only need to hook up to the computer to update the firmware. You may be able to ask your local hobby shop if they have the CIU-2 they can help you update.

You program and adjust every parameter on the unit itself.

You should find out what firmware is on it, though. You want V1.3 or V1.4. It will be much more difficult to set up, otherwise.
