intermediate level competition?
Hi guys, I have been a rc heli pilot for 2 years now and my skills have been improving a lot!
Right now I am in my junior year of high school and looking at colleges, AMA offers a scholarship for their young members however in order to qualify you need to compete in a contest at least once. Are there any competitions for intermediate level pilots? Thanks, Seb

Look at the numbers. The AMA heli NATS got about 30 to 40 pilots total in 2011. A couple of weeks later the IRCHA Jamboree, held at the exact same location, got 1,000 entries. There are a whole bunch of AMA Rulebook events for airplanes, so that is an option.
