Default Need to be real sure on this amp draw

Hey, I need to be sure this is correct:

I have an 1800W AC/DC power supply output is at 24VDC { 2*12V in series},
So Max current output is 75A @24VDC.
Input is european wall standard 240VAC, so the power wire from wall to power supply will only have 7.5A running through it right?

I wanted to know; Am I going to trip the 20A circuit breaker in my house by powering the 24V Power supply outputting 30A for a charger

Thanks.

Counting for the supply efficiency losses if you were to max out your supplies you'd be pulling about 8.7 amp AC.

30 amps at 24v is 720 watts or roughly 828 watts from the wall. At 240v you'll be pulling about 3.5 amps AC.

I wish the United States would use higher voltages like they do in Europe. Much more efficient!

And run the AC at a higher frequency! Anyway, it doesn't matter much to me as do most of my high current charging at the field.

I'm showing my lack of knowledge here but, what does the frequency of the AC supply do/help for our or any purpose?

Thx,
Seth

It doesn't help the RC hobbyist much. But overall it improves efficiency and power conversion. Mainly with transformers.

Bit late now, kinda expensive to replace all the current transformers (not to mention every appliance that would fall over if the freq changed).

Of course. But so is 220 AC standard in US, residential. Just adding to the long list of pipe dreams that would actually help us. I'm still bummed the metric system didn't take over.
