Hello,

Here is a second video from Luberon in the South of France. The place is call Oppedette Canyon.

Canyon d'Oppedette - Luberon France - Scarab QuadOcta Multiwiicopter (2 min 19 sec)

This is filmed in FPV by a Sacrab QuadOcta with a Gopro HD2, 900 MHz video gear, EagleTree OSD, graupner e-props and Thomas Scherrer Long Range System connected to a Spektrum DX7.

The little gello is due to the fact that the graupner e-props are not adapted to fly with high speed, normally they perform very well for slow fly and close shoots. Quinton mentioned It on multiwiicopter.com web site...

Cheers,

Gregory

Dear all,

Here is a new film release, made with the Scarab Multiwiicopter QuadOcta set up as Quad. This is with the Graupner e-props. My personal conclusion on these is a prefer the triples as they give good results in hover as well as fast forward while the e-props tend to give a small gello when flying fast forward (even if the balancing is done carefully).

This is again in the South of France, this time in Rustrel, the place is called Provençal Colorado !

Colorado Provencal - Rustrel - Luberon - FPV Multiwiicopter Carbonbird Quadocta (1 min 50 sec)

Cheers,

Gregory

Hello,

Some of you may have seen part of the images included in this video. This is from my trip one year ago in French Polynesia, visiting Raiatea and Tahaa islands. In this short film, you may recognize Motu Mirimiri and Motu Cerran, Pk10 Uturoa and Raiatea Lodge Hotel. I finally found some time to do a decent edit...

Although not heli fpv yet, but thought I'd share.

I just started doing fpv and wanted to do it with a foam plane and get comfortable with it before getting a multi rotor.

Default My first FPV

Just got my Fatshark goggles and couldn't wait any longer. This is my first FPV flight, cold, windy, boring and uneventful and I loved it. Can't wait to try further then an empty parking lot.

wow thats clear! I think you need some dampening. Some people find it easier to sit.

Thanks, I was thinking about sitting in the back of the SUV and then thought the people in the apartment would think I am nuts, standing with the goggles it just looks like I am wearing old people sun glasses. I wanted to try it on 1080 to see how much jello and man there is a lot. I have something in mind and will give that a shot tomorrow along with the 8" carbon fibre Gemfans and I will see if I can go 200 yards!! Somebody told me one time once that sheet of paper drops from being stuck between your cheeks you know you have become comfortable flying. I think I will be holding that sheet for a while.

well the secret is relaxing. Of the few times I have managed it.

People say sit because when you do any hard maneuvers you may become disoriented locally (your body) and you have enough to worry about without having to remember to stay standing. It seems like +90% of the really good FPV videos I see they are sitting.

Default New Gopro mount test

I added some anti-vibration mounts to the Gopro mount and it seems to have helped a bit but still not there. This is taken on 1080 in very windy conditions and is not too bad for my purpose at this stage. You are quite right I have noticed in the videos I've seen most everyone is sitting and I think that is a good idea and I will be doing that on the next one.

After a surprisingly long winter we welcome back the sun on a Sunday that truly lived up to it's name. Vegetation still said Winter, but with around 25°C it felt like summer.
