Well, I never got to build my Stratus. Pics are a little higher on this page. I found out that they are coming out with a new 90, so I returned the kit and instead got myself a vibe 50 for now...
I will wait for the new MA 90. G

Started life as a 1001 Custom, now I guess it's closer to an SE, but not all the way there.

Re-Re-Maidened it this morning...so nice. Normally I can hop between my models from the B400, to the Lepton, and then onto the Pantera no problem, the MA handles so completely different, it's almost scary. Seems you think about a turn, and before the thought is complete the heli is already facing the other way

BW STRATUS build almost finished.
This is the most recient build of mine. A Bobby Watts Stratus with a Tempest head. Thanks in part to Ron's for helping in the selection of all the extras. I decided to use the newest YS engine, the YS91SR 3DS with a Hatori SB19FH. Futaba S9452,s, a GY401 w/ a S9254, and a TP 5300MAH 2S 7.4V lipo and regulator.
I had alot problems with this kit, There were alot of parts missing. However, Brian and Jeff over at MA were GREAT with responding and getting the missing parts to me. Sure, its taking alot longer than I had figured to get this put together, but maby the slower pace will produce a better assembly and thus a better performing bird. Also you'll notice I used a set of higher skidds that I was going to put on one of my X-Cell 60's to help keep the tail rotor from grass stains, HaHaHa. The BW kit has alot of different parts that keeps you on your toes with the build. Also the frame is different than the standard Stratus, so beware. Jeff at MA had alot of good input into the build, and was great to work with. |
