I just bought a new 55hz, and if the tuning diagram in the manual is accurate the low screw should have virtually no effect in the mid-range. I have only ran 6 tanks through the engine but havent touched the low circuit yet.

Can already notice a good increase in power over my old 50sxh!

im running a fuel blader and on cold start i can't get it to idle. the engine is running very ritch ones its wormed up it runs fine. i tried leaning the mid needle and that work the problem is that ones the engine is hot im to lean. do you think turing in the idle mixture screw would help

Mine acted the same way, stumbling badly on spool-up with factory recommended settings of 2 turns out on both needles, with 20% nitro. It also wanted to die at idle yesterday. temperature outside was 55 degrees.

With both mid and high needles at 1-3/4 turns out it flew well and was still fairly rich, spitting out a little oil but not drooling out the muffler as it did with factory settings. I did not mess with the low adjustment as my intention was only to run 5 or more tanks through the engine which I did. Today I was able to loosen the low adjustment screw, and plan to slowly lean it so it will idle without dieing,
