Default Will this monitor work?

I am attempting to use this monitor for fpv on my quad and i liked the price and how the receiver was built in to the monitor. Built in = less stuff I have to carry around.
I know to be cautious when buying stuff off ebay, but I was just curious what kind of range can i get out of this thing before video quality starts to become unusable? What specifications should I look at?

Thanks

Interesting. Make sure the 8 channels available match the ones on your transmitter. There seems to be 2 slightly different ranges in the 5.8 band. Let us know if it performs well for you. Goodluck. Later.

It would be better to buy stuff from a specialized vendor,

Here is another choice,

They modify the internal components of the monitor to better suit it for it's FPV purpose correct?

Not sure about that, but here is an exctract from Ready Made RC website on that monitor I posted above.

"Perfect for your FPV ground station, this Ready Made RC 12.1" LCD monitor is a great choice if you are looking for a large, crystal clear image. Includes ingegrated tripod mount, sun shield, and power/av breakout cables.

This monitor WILL NOT GO TO BLUE OR BLACK SCREEN when there is static or loss of video! "

The last part I consider the most important, at some point you will have some FPV signal loss over the flight, this monitor will not go Black or Blue when this happens, as whereas the monitor you are looking off ebay might do that, probability of crashing is much higher.

Yeah I read that, but what do they mean?

The only explanation I can think of is that when the monitor turns black or blue it won't turn back to normal in the event that the signal is restored without being reset or something?
