If you put the sleeve on with the roll pin in the piston groove facing you you can see the ring close up around the pin as it gets compressed in which case it cannot move - incidentally came across some excellent articles on OS tear down from Audacity Models which are well worth a read.

Just got a Raptor 50 and about to buy a Os 50 Hyper engine to go in it, your bearing replacement video has put my mind at ease. Having never had a nitro bird before I don't know a thing about the engines or the kind of repairs or maintainance they require, this has made the whole thing seem a lot less daunting. Now all I have to do is find the idiots guide to adjusting the carb, all i know is lots of smoke means cool engine, no smoke means fried engine pretty soon !!!!

Thanks for the great video,

Mike.

HI

I saw your video of the GV1 governor settings. You said that the end points of the throttle channel has to be -100 and +100. Mine are set to -110 and =120.

Does this make any difference to the Gv1 governor? cause I have a problem when changing from Rs3 to Rs2 and from Rs2 to Rs1 the engine is revving up for about 5 seconds and than drop to the desire speed.

Does this thing coming from the End points?

I look forward to hear from you.

Regards
Jesmond

Wouldn't have thought your endpoints would make that difference - are your throttle curves different in idle 1/2 - sounds like your throttle curve greater causing the engine to pick up then the gov kicks in and returns it to the gov preset - the GV1 has a gentle leadin when switching speeds - one of the features I like

No they are both the same

100 - 75 - 50 - 75 - 100

Futaba 7 channel 2.4GHZ. Mine is doing the opposite when suppose to decrease the speed slowly.
