Custom Fuel Tables Question
I have a PL8 and have had it for quite some time. I always do manual charges with the High Power Mode. I was wondering if it is really worth the time to generate custom fuel tables. The manual states that custom fuel tables do come into play even while manual charging. I'm also wondering if it is best to generate a custom fuel table for each capacity of LiPo that I have and assign each to a preset. I'm assuming you only do a fuel table on a single battery at a time, and only need to do so for say 1 pack of each capacity. Any insights are appreciated. My main question is still whether it is worth the time to make the custom tables.

The fuel table is used for the fuel gauge and auto charge modes. The default fuel table is relatively accurate for most packs. If you are not using the AUTO modes then the advantages to a custom fuel table will be that the fuel gauge will be more accurate. You would have to create a fuel table for each type of pack and use a separate preset. The fuel table creation is time consuming and brings the pack voltage lower than I would prefer.
I use the fuel gauge only as rough guideline As is, its plenty accurate for me. For the state of charge precision, I use the individual cell voltages during the constant current stage, then use the declining charge current during the CV stage.

Thanks for the quick answer. :-) You confirmed what I thought might be the case.
