Default Just order new nano cpx

Noob Question... Just order a new nano cpx to fly around in the house getting bored of the nano qx. My question is can it be used to practice hovering and some basic turns and circles in a small living room?

It can be tamed down quite a bit for slower, easier flights. Start with D/R at 60% and add a little expo if you like. It is fairly wild though compared to the NQX, it will take some getting used to!

+1
In addition, lowering the head speed (throttle curve) a bit helps too.

I learned with a Dx4e in my tiny living room on high rate. Just have a ready finger on the throttle hold.

All good advice.

Like has been suggested, tame it down with 75 or 80% head speed, 60% D/R and some expo (I have around 25% expo).

But I suggest taking it outside on a calm day (over grass!!) and get a handle of it before flying inside. At least for a couple batteries to get used to the controls. Then move inside for those days/nights where you can't go outside to fly. Even with those settings, it can be a handful, but totally do-able for a noob. I should know (I am one...)

Today I was finally able to fly my new bird, I was trying to wait on the weather to change but its been raining all day.. so I decided to to tame it down as suggested by fellow hf pilots and practice in the living room. I got some good hovering practice in with four battery packs.. on the first I forgot to start timer and the bird just dropped down to the American carpet after a couple of minutes. Only had two crashes on four battery packs..
