Aloha Bob, I too am on vacation from Alaska visiting my relatives. Wish I could have brought down one of my 90 or 50 size helis here, but shipping wise is expensive from Alaska. Hopefully I can meet you before you leave the Islands.

Have fun Bob and relax. Forget about work and Helis for a little while and enjoy hanging with your family.

We miss you man.

Bob, you must have the Volcano Gods smiling on you or something. You beat the rainy weather for the 2nd year. As I recall last year the high winds were setting in as you were flying back home.

Grounded and hating it right now.

Yep! I kept seeing rain predicted almost all week but it never came to Waikiki!!! Well we got some sprinkles on Monday evening but that was about it. I hear the windy side of the island got pounded pretty good Monday and Tuesday? We drove around the island on Wednesday and the muddy road tracks everywhere on that side of the island gave some clue that it must have rained a lot.

I stopped by the flying field near the Pali road in Kailua but no one was there

If I had known you were coming, before you left, I could have met you out there. Nice to meet people on the boards when you can. I work shift work and am pretty flexible. Hope your time out here was good. It rained Saturday night from about 8p.m. till 6p.m. on Sunday. Looks like you just missed it all.
