Default Plastic fin purpose?

Does the plastic fin on the rear boom by the motor do anything??
Cuz I lost mine.

Default Plastic fin purpose?

Protection for the tail rotor when landing/crashing.

Some use a zip tie. Zip it in the boom and let the extra length point down. Make sure it is long enough that it touches the ground and not the rotor.

That sounds like a good idea for a fin and I will have to try it. I have been flying without one.

I too need to try the zip tie, I removed mine so I wouldn't loose it crashing in the grass
