What is the recommended head speed for PROTOS mini?
HELLO GUYS.
I'll try my TT Mini Titan's 3700KV new motor included in V2 package. Then what pinion shoud I use for 3700KV motor to do light 3D flying? Also I'm using 3S 2150mah 30C batteries. And what is the suitable head speed? Waiting your help.

Quote:
120 tooth main gear 14 tooth pinion (smallest available) Headspeed calculator shows: Nominal voltage: Spoolup RPM 100% throttle no governor (11,1v): 4792 Avg RPM you will see with 100% throttle and no governor: 4575 Those headspeeds are MUCH too high.

Thanks Jason and Chris.
Totally agree with your opinion. I think 3,700KV is way to high. Need to looking for other heart for my MINI. Thanks again.

True, that is one problem with the Protos gearing...you need a specific kV that differs a lot from the general 450 and 500-sized heli's.
