Default Another Delay

I have all of the equipment and everything setup on the XXTREME.

Everything seems to work fine except I can not get the motor to spool up. I get a tone from the ESC and I have all the parameters set in the Gov but nothing from the motor.

Kontronik is so much easier.

Any Ideas?

Default Another Delay / Solved?

Got it figured out as far as the motor spooling up, she is breathing and her heart is beating.

I am a bit embarrassed to say what the actual problem was so please don't make me tell.

What I'm seeing now is that the motor does not spool up until the stick is at half throttle, I'm going to look through the threads and see if i can find an answer.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and I'm not hearing a train whistle.

I think if you watch MrMels remake of the Vbar electric governor setup you will have some joy.

I also have a lot of dead stick at the bottom of the throttle, would be nice to reduce that

That is just the way how the vbar governor works. Below 50% it is motor off or autorotation bailout and only above 50% it controls the rpm.

Are you using the Vbar governor but running a linear throttle curve? Sorry if it's a stupid question but that's what it sounds like is happening.

I did just that and it answered pretty much all of my questions, the light bulb is now lit.

That's what I had going on normal mode, once I watched Mr. Mel's remake of the VBar Electric Governor I switched to all flat curves and it is much better.

This is the first external gov I have ever used, I'm a Jive fan, so I wasn't sure how to set everything up. It still does not engage until 25% out on the stick which will take some getting used to because it just feels wrong.
