Default back after 2 yrs, dunno what to do now.

Hello everyone,

so i'm looking to get back into heli's after almost 2 yrs of downtime.

i had (and still have) a robbe nano arrow which i had mastered. doing some precision flying in the living room and throwing it arround outside, however last time i flew with it it got a problem in mid flight, i noticed the servo's not responding well anymore. also kinda a burned smell if i recall correctly. i think i have a vid of the heli doing strange somewhere, if thats important i'll search the vid and upload it.

i had also ordered an HK450 from HK with some parts like servo's and stuff. i think i still need an ESC, motor and TX/RX, the stuff i have is just sitting in a box not assembled.

i also have phoenix sim (but no TX to use it). at that point there came some changes in my life so everything was put aside.

but now i was getting this itch to fly again. first of all i would like a decent micro 4ch coax, this is just for shits n giggles in the living room, also for guests (and my wife) who see me fly my heli's and want to try themselfs. i was looking at WLtoys if they have something V911-like but then coax? atleast it must be cheap and decent. i was even looking at syma's S6 just because its so damn cheap and my wife will think its so cute because its so small. 3ch doesnt matter if the heli itself is decent and will last long.

secondly i wou like something for myself as wel. something i can fly in my livingroom.
iunno if my robbe nano arrow is still save-able. the price of a PCB is almost the price of a new V911. also i might want something with a little more challenge thats flyable outdoors as wel. like one of those micro cp's =/ i dunno if i'm ready for that yet though.
if i want to use my SIM i'd need a TX, so i was looking into DX6I and maybe a nano cp of mcp (x or no x?). also i could use that for the HK450 too eventually. but my budget is on the low side and blade heli's, even though i like them, are not low priced. so maybe a wl toys V9xx (but which one 911,922,33,44,55,66,77, 88, ... makes my head spin, also maybe someone with experience should make a chart of these... :o )
a friend of mine flies his V911 with a X9 transmitter, but what i read about that TX makes my head spin also, i'm not much of a modder, i prefer just the get up and fly stuff. i might just get a cheapo TX to practice on the sim and then buy a RTF heli.

as you can see i'm really in need of help lol

If you want to buy all of these things at once...it's gonna cost you around 300-400 dollars. I would suggest on buying the pertinent things first, such as: a decent tx that will work with phoenix - i would suggest a Dx6i, especially since there is loads and loads of information about them on this forum, youtube and google in general.

After that, you can get a V911 or a 4channel co-ax (from blade or just one from amazon), or you can go a bit more expensive way and get a nano qx which is just incredible and something you can grow with...especially if you have a Dx6i.

I wouldn't go any lower than a Dx6i, if you are serious about sticking with flying helis. If not, then just get a Dx5e or a Dx4e...but you would be cheating yourself if you got those and decided to stick with helis. The Dx6i will grow with you...for a long time.

Since you already have Phoenix, it would be great to just buy a tx and practice on that since you get about 100-150 helis, that you can seriously learn with...or just crash cause it looks cool and it doesn't cost you money.

If you aren't serious...just buy a V911 and buy the pack of replacement parts I've linked at the end. Just wait for around a month for those parts to show up, and go crazy with the v911 until you can afford a Dx6i or you feel like you want to move up...
