That's what I'm thinking, and I've got more in my MCPX than that

Is that sad that we do that For me (and I'm sure others) the micro's fly indoors when the cold and snow comes. Not having "real" stick time in the winter is not an option for me.....gotta fly

I Think I'll probably get one, Looks like a pretty solid unit, CF blades etc, aluminium rotor grips and what not already on it.

Looks like a better built package than my blade 450 lol.

its a good starter
as you crash you can replace the parts with align as needed and use clone parts on the not so important parts
or just get good clone parts for all of it

Tired of the clones sucks bashing.

I've got an HK 450 Pro, and it's a fairly good helicopter. I used to complain about the bearings being crap, until I bought genuine Align replacements, and discovered they're all crap too.

So that leaves only the shafts and gears being *maybe* sub-par. It definitely flew fine right out of the box, just a bit more vibration than I'd like.

Whats the FBL unit a mock of? Or is it their in house FBL unit?

I dont need another 450 but it "looks" decent. However looks do not account for the quality, safety and reliability of the build. It's still intriguing however.

HK helis seem to vary in quality. Out of the three 450 GTs bought by me, my son and a friend, only the friends belt drive had a bent main shaft, mine and my sons were straight. So far, all three tails, one belt drive and two shaft, have remained tight and haven't given any problems. With over 250 flights between us, we haven't lost a bearing. My friend also has a Align 450 Pro FLB V2, I can't see much difference between it and the HKs. If i were in the market for a beater flybarless 450, I'd be willing to take a chance on the 450 Assault, but, like anything already assembled, I'd dissemble a lot of it and reassemble.

If I didn't already have 4 450's...

It looks like the gyro is another BeastX clone like the Turnigy 3d-H and TGZ380 gyro. The cyclics look kind of like hitec HS-65MG mighty feathers. I might order a tail assembly to convert my inoperable 450 pro tail assembly to belt, because the Torque tube tail assembly has been nothing but trouble for me.

the gyro looks like a copterx 3x -2000 with a different label on it , and that gyro would do nothing but go crazy . you can check that out on rcgroup . I had one and gave up on it and bought a robird g31

if nobody noticed, the tail pitch assembly is the upgraded dual arm. If I use nothing else, at least I will give that a try on my 450pro.

If I were in the market for a 450 I would go for it. You will see guys bash clones on the forum but in the same breath they would bash ya if you showed up with better stuff than them and did not know a lick about it. Just my 2 pennies on the subject though.

I ordered one Saturday morning and it is in the mail now. I personally have not had any issues with HK's shipping. (knock on wood) Can't wait to get it. Though I cant actually do anything with it til Christmas. Sucks but if the kids can't open presents, neither can I.. I will inspect it though when it arrives to make sure everything I ordered is here..
I will post pictures and comments Christmas some time..

Keep em flying...

for $335, just a little more, you can get the ALIGN 450 DFC PLUS btf. I had the older flybar version. It had plastic bits but flew great, hassle and worry free.
