Default They do actually fly!

02170001 (3 min 10 sec)

One of the 2 SR's I have, the other as usual has a finicky tail on it, that I really need to attend to, this one though I am really pleased with, but you still have to be ready for that nasty tail here and there! Lol

You guys are starting to make me wanna get my SR out again. Ever since getting the 230S, the SR hasn't seen much air time at all.

You had that one dialed in really nice!
I still keep mine around for sentimental reasons I guess, fly em a little here and there.

Oh yeah, me too. Just can't bring myself to get rid of it. I learned to fly CP'S on my SR. It is dialed in pretty good but couldn't have done it without your help. You taught me an awful lot about the SR.

I'm still not convinced that CGI or wires weren't involved

What's it doing? Tail issues? Or other, or all of the above?

Lifts off, almost hovers then it's like the right roll of death. Purchased it new (opened display box) from local hobby shop...

Sent it back to HH and they serviced it and said I was good to go...

I'm starting to think it more psychological due to "fear of flybar" setup.

Have you spooled it up without blades on and watched what the swash was doing, could be a weak servo.

Yes it was mine also, I had one one time that was a tipper too, would try to tip on me every time, gave it some cyclic to correct it, got it in the air and it still tried to drift to the right. I checked the swash 3 different times, and it was level as could be. But every time it would tilt to the right, I'd correct it and have to constantly correct it as it flew, finally adjusted the link on the right servo (because it tilted and drifted right) raised the link 2-3 turns and you just saw it fly in the video! :-)

Yes, Nightrain06 they do fly, but they also sink (rather fast too).. Back in 2009 when I ordered my SR, I brought two, one to confirm how to put the dang thing back together again.

Eventually I was trading off and using both (one down waiting for parts), I had the sickness bad, and one day the wind was blowing pretty bad at our local field, but I knew if I kept going inland, the wind dies down, so out I go 20 miles west out to Wildlife Managment Area, put up the SR behind the berm and it immediately went into the canal.

Well I'm a good swimmer, and not afraid of gators, but do draw the line at snakes, and where would one mostly likely find snakes, yes, out at the wildlife area. Therefore, the extra SR is still waiting to be retrieved.

Thanks for posting the video, while I wasn't the flyer, I'm still out of state and miss my usually first flyer of the day.

That's a bummer wattflyer, hate to hear sunken heli stories (I am not a real water person, especially when water has stuff that bites in it.....cement ponds suit me just fine!) thinking of that poor SR laying in those murky depths is horrifying!
My club has a lake near it, I am always wary of it!
I won't fly that thing in any kind of wind to speak of, I'm not that good where I can fight that tail when it can get whacky sometimes in windy conditions, because it does have a dendancy to come around from time to time. I had one one time come almost completely around on me, the tail was pretty locked in up till then, but that's one of the dangerous quarks about it, it'll be flying pretty decent but then you go from heading hold flight, to almost full on rate mode. Lol
