Default Breaking in and tuning issues "please read"

I am writing this post because I am a little concerned about some of the
damage I have seen on my motors. I have had 4 motors come back in the last couple of months for repairs and that is something I don't like to see this early in the game. What is the reason that some motors are failing? Tuning! When I built the prototype motors we tested for a long time before releasing to the public, I want my customers to have the best
product I can make,so myself and John Garst satdown and discussed
proceedures and break-in instructions in detail so tuning would not be an issue.

I was wrong, the motors that have come back for one reason and one reason only,Too lean!!!! not with oil but with fuel.
These motors cannot sustain lean conditions for very long without serious damage to the piston and cylinder, you have to use the manual
like a bible,we set these parameters on tuning for a reason so you don't have any problems of this type. If you have any problems with an engine
while following these proceedures email or call myself or John we will be happy to talk to you, I want everyone to understand that if the directions are not followed, I cannot warranty the engine because it is being used outside the settings we set down. I promise you that if you follow the manual you will have a great running engine. If you have any questions email or call me and I will be happy to talk to all who contact me .
Peace and good flying, Toxic Al

I am about to post video of John's Spectra from Chattanooga still kicking ass on the original 231 prototype after almost 1.5 years, he has never run it too lean. My prototypes are also running great as well. Thanks for taking the time to come up with good instructions Al and John.

Yes, please if you are having problems or are in doubt of exactly what to do with tuning, oil type/content or just want to talk motors, give me a call, e-mail or PM and I will take the time to ensure that your issues are answered.

These motors are very easy to run, tune and maintain as long as you follow some very simple guidelines for their operation.

Later,
